Green Bay Packers running back Ty Montgomery is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens after re-injuring his ribs last week against the Chicago Bears, coach Mike McCarthy said Friday.
McCarthy indicated the injury is likely a week-to-week situation.
“I don’t think there’s a long-term concern,” he said.
The Packers have already ruled out running back Aaron Jones with an MCL injury in his right knee. Jones, who had started the past four games and leads the team with 370 yards, is out multiple weeks, McCarthy said earlier this week.
That leaves two other rookies, Jamaal Williams and Devante Mays, as the only healthy halfbacks on the roster. Williams, a fourth-round pick, finished last Sunday’s game against the Bears after Jones and Montgomery dropped out and rushed for a season-high 67 yards on 20 carries.
Mays, a seventh-round pick, was inactive against the Bears and has not had a carry yet this season.
